In Memory of Rev Li Kin-wah

Sun, 14 January 2007

Several Sunday mornings in 2006, Rev Li, advisor of our church, came all the way to Tuen Mun in sharing the words of Lord with us. From the news of being diagnosed with cancer to the day Rev Li left us to heaven, it was less than 100 days.

Hundreds of family and relatives; comrades and partners in Lord's kingdom and brothers and sisters gathered at Kowloon Methodist Church in Yau Mei-ti in memorizing this great servant of Lord this afternoon (14 Jan 07). I couldn’t held my tears thoughout the whole ceremony -- losing an extraordinatory servant of Lord who committed his life for the poor is heart-wrenching. Rev. Li started the Missions of New Arrival in 1997 aiming at helping the new immigrations in adjusting to the new adventure in Hong Kong and all those who live under poverty. He has the heart of Lord whom love and care about people.

Several scences kept appearing in my mind thoughout the ceremony. How Rev Li prayed for me in our Church to understand the endless love from heavenly father's love and how he taught us to have the virture of forgiveness. I am sure people in the ceremony were all blessed in this memorial services. May peace be with Rev Li’s family, in particular Mrs Li, Priscilla and his younger son.

Rev Li, we shall not forget you and your mission on earth!
