The Oasis prayer

Due to the need of attending specialist in Orthopaedics, I was brought into area you could hardly breath, not to mention about walk. However, I realized that oasis is usually found among the desert.

For those live in Tuen Mun (far away from downtown) probably know that we normally do everything we need when we are going "out-town". I then finished all I needed and while thinking about returning home in the next bus, I remember there were brothers and sisters coming to the The United Prayer Altar Of Hong Kong Christian Churches taking up the section of 8:00pm- 10:00pm. I then arrived the place and spent the wonderful 3 hours praying with brothers and sisters. The more important is -- I "hangout" with Lord.

The essence of prayer for Christians are quite different. Not that we focus on asking provision, we ask for getting close to Lord's heart. While we pray, we worship, we sing songs and at times we cried. It was really wonderful times we had tonight -- we prayed for the women, we prayed for the youth (they are always core to my heart), we prayed for the nations and we prayed hard for the media. Being exposed to so many distorted values and indecent images for long in different types of media, we prayed for protection and change.

If you have ever pray in Lord's presence, you will forget about times.

I remember the bible I read two days ago about Hannah's prayer :

"My heart rejoices in the Lord;
in the Lord of my horn is lifted high.
My mouth boasts over my enemies,
for I delight in your deliverance.

"There is no one holy like the Lord;
there is no one besides you;
there is no Rock like our God.

The Lord brings death and makes alive;
he brings down to the grave and raises up.
The Lord sends poverty and wealth;
he humbles and he exalts.
He raises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap;
he seats them with princes
and has them inherit a throne of honour.
For the foundations of the earth are the Lord's
upon them he has set the world. " (1 Samuel, 2:1-2, 6-8)

May Lord bless you and enable you to be in HIM at all times.
