Who are we?
The first teaching week of Term 2 has gone.....
Still remember about two years ago, I am a bit hesitate to review or share my identity as Christian in the public setting of the University campus. Not that I don't want others to know I am a Christian but it somehow occurs to me that I was paid to serve for one role on campus only.
My heart has been gradually changed by Lord and this phrase somehow came to my mind from time to time -- "For I have no feeling of shame about the good news, because it is the power of God giving salvation to everyone who has faith, to the Jew first, and then to the Greek." "我不以福音為恥．這福音本是神的大能、要救一切相信的、先是猶太人、後是希利尼人。" (Roman, 1:16)
Yes, why I need to avoid talking about my identity in Christ inside the classroom? I mean, why don't I let it just comes naturally? Therefore, I found that I shared something different in this first week of the class during my self-introduction:
Mission Statement
「我做人的成功並不是看多少人羨慕我的成就，而是看多少人因著我而尋回失喪的靈魂，活得更有自信及自尊。」 人生宣言，25/5/2003
“My mission of life is not focus on being praised by my achievement but seeing the lost sheep returning to life with dignity and self-respect.”
Teaching Philosophy is based on "Love"
“And if I have a prophet's power, and have knowledge of all secret things; and if I have all faith, by which mountains may be moved from their place, but have not love, I am nothing.”
(Bible; 1 Corinthians; 13:2)
Praise the Lord, I can now share with my students at the beginning the of the course : "I am a Christian -- very committed one on University campus and in church too."
Lord, let more people be brave and share how they were blessed by you in their lives. Let's not be treated by Satan's tricks --

Service in Mainland China – Prayer Request (Sun, 13 to Sat, 19 Jan 2008)
Dear friends:
I write to request for your prayer of protection in the upcoming service in the Northern part of Mainland China. I am going to be there from Sun, 13 to Sat 19 (both dates inclusive) working on a strategic project. Based on the information provided by the coordinator of the trip, we definitely need Lord’s protection throughout the trip. The spiritual battle is serious in all the previous similar projects. People or their beloved one had either get sick, got into the emergency room or even seriously injured.
Prayers are particularly needed not only for myself but also all the beloved persons of myself. Satan always attacks those we love and care :
- Family members
- My close friends
- My students
- People that I love in the Student Dormitory that I live and work
- My cell group members and all other brothers and sisters in church
Please kindly pray accordingly to following schedule :
Sun, 13 Jan 2008 –
Please pray for :
- A pure heart and an empty self to serve
- Passion for JC and compassion for people
- My health (Stomach and adjustment to the severe cold weather that I hardly experience in my life)
- Get all the works done in the long to-do list before leaving Hong Kong
- Safe flight and the inland transport to the suburb.
- Strong Immune system to deal with the dizziness arising from sleep-deprived
I had engaged in various kinds of work and still need to use the last few hours in setting issues before departure. For sure I would be sleep-deprived on the first day as I believe having more than 3 hours of sleep before getting to the airport will be quite blessed. Also, I just recovered from Gastroenteritis in the middle of week. Protection over the adjustment of the stomach is deemed important.

Please pray for :
- A pure heart and an empty self to serve
- Passion for JC and compassion for people
- My health (Stomach and adjustment to the severe cold weather that I hardly experience in my life)
- Preparation of the whole training project
- Able to sleep and have sufficient rest
- All teammates in one spirit
- The hearts of the people that we serve
- Protection of Armor of God (Ephesians 6:10-18)
We should have teammates from Southern part of Mainland and also from America. Please pray for their adjustments and jet-lag as well.

Gateway Camp 2008 in Lingnan !
Praise the Lord, the Gateway Camp 2008 is going to held in Lingnan University !
People from 60+ nations will come to Lingnan for a training before sending out to serve in different areas.
Very excited about it. Brothers and sisters who love Lingnan, please pray for this camp :
